First Lady Evangelist Charlene Jackson
"Affectionately
referred to as "Sister Charlene", Acts' First Lady has served as a member
of the Chords of Acts Adult Choir and coordinator of the Praise Team. She currently serves as the
church's office manager and administrative assistant to Bishop
Bob Jackson.
As a teenager, Sis. Charlene was a resident of the Termon Avenue Home
for Children (now Three Rivers Youth) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She applauds the program for supporting her during her teen years.
She graduated from David B. Oliver High School in Pittsburgh and later
graduated from Duff's Institute, also in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Evangelist
Jackson is a women's counselor and periodically teaches in the
church's marriage ministry, Women's Department, and Young Adult
Department. Charlene is also an author. Her book "Don't Start No Mess,
Won't Be No Mess" is straight talk to women about maintaining
self-control and avoiding transgressions and hurt feelings in their
relationships with men. (Currently being revised)
One of her favorite verses is Isaiah 54:17, which says, "No weapon
that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall
rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn..."
First Lady Charlene Jackson has faithfully served the ministry beside
her husband since the beginning of Acts Full Gospel Church in 1984. Married in 1983, Charlene has one child,
David, and is second mother to Lisa, Jamal, Kamani, and Shavonn.
